There has been a long going controversy over baseball letting its teams expand their rosters come September first. Some, like Brewers manager Doug Melvin, argue that it's like playing 11 on 18 basketball, but others, like Phillies manager Charlie Manual says that the callups releases stress on pitching staffs, thus reducing the amount of late season pitcher injuries. To me it seems just fine. Let baseball teams have a look at minor league players near the end of the season to see what they can do.
